It's definitely a fun playbike.

What's funnier to me, is look at the pipes on Okie's Triumph and look at the pipes on mine... I'll have to dig up some pics of my dad's original Triumph and some of the pics taken in the desert, not only do they look about the same as Okie's pic (in general photo quality), but I know there's some with the canteen on the triple clamps. (My dad made our trailer and it looks identical to Okie's-not that that's some big coincidence, it's just kinda funny)

New to Skating, Been biking for a while.

First good road bike - Miyata 912.
Shimano 600 EX. Triple butted chromoly steel frame.



Second good Road Bike - Giant TCR2.
Did 102 Km on this bike last year in 2hr 57min
Reached a top speed of 70km/hr in a triathlon.



$50 Garage sale bike. Araya - Shimano 600



This used to be my Dad's bike. A Torrot - 70's Spain.



Mountain bike - Giant XTC2



Technically this is my wifes bike. A Marinoni Delta.
She doesn't ride it much, so it will probably end up being my son's bike for a few seasons (He's 12)




My wife likes to ride this one more. Our Cannondale Tandem.



And finally, my commuter - a Devinci Amsterdam I bought to replace my Rocky Mountain that got stolen last year.
Note that I managed to fit my other toy into the pictures.

It's a hybrid.
Pretty much a road frame with cantilever brakes.

Ooooohhhh....I like the pink and black lugged Miyata with the matching frame pump!
Kilroy- you must live somewhere pretty flat, judging by all your double ring setups.

This thread is titled "Show us a picture of your bike" so I vote that all bikes be allowed- both motorized and leg-powered.
But no evil CARS allowed!

When gas becomes totally unavailable, the only thing cars will be good for is to prop your bike against when you are proudly taking photos of your bikes.

amen, sistah! If I hadn't been dirtbiking all my life and in shape from skating, I never would have been able to hop on the mtn bike and rock it from the git. Thanks for the MC vote!

I managed to get my friend to send me a picture from her camera! Go back to the first page where I edited my entry and you can now see me and my bike. If you look close, you might find a little dirt on it or maybe even some dollar bills stuck in the spokes (huh, online/inline...I imagine Jon B. may have "strafed" the trail that day with...money?) Ha Ha!!

OK here is mine! It's from 1980-something. Poor thing is a bit neglected now, but I really used to enjoy it quite a few years ago! I bought it in 1994 when I was living somewhere that had no skating rinks, so I needed another form of exercise for a while. Reading all these posts about cycling has been making me want to ride it again... maybe I'll get around to it one of these days.

IIRC, 1996 was the year that they went to a smaller-stiffer motocross style seat, along with some other changes. But, yes, a very fun play bike. Mine is street legal(barely), so I may have to start riding it to work due to the price of gas.

Yeah, the Triumph twins are scary similar.

Well, just finished fixing up my street bike. Its a 20 yr old aluminum 24 lb. bike thats stiff but super fast! I just put new tires on it, thorn resistant tubes, tape, etc. Cleaned it so it looks like new. The rear wheel needs a touch of trueing, but thats it!! I got the gears working smoothly. I just forgot which way to turn the spokes to true the wheel lol. The handlebars are cut very narrow for me which I did a long time ago so its very aerodynamic.

Funny thing, I can lift my whole bike in the air with this one, but not my off road bike. Is it cause I can cheat with toe clips?



Heres my 36 lb off road bike which now has platform pedals, short top tube. Set up now just for off orad. Slow on streets but great for off road and "bouncy" lol, which I love. But I like my street bike for commuting better. How can I bunny hop with this? I'm trying to lift the rear wheel up onto the curb so I can hop one wheel at a time up on the curb lol.

Wow, 10 pound difference I'd say that is part of the problem there.

I'd say you could do well by putting some lighter thinner tires on that baby and still be just fine on rocky gravel-y trails. You don't really need 80 lb. TRACTOR TIRES on it, do you?

YES I DO! I will be jumping logs, going through dirt, mud, dirt jumping, downhill. No, not gravel, REAL off road!! Downhill type of bikes are heavy and sturdy.

Well, just like you cant compare a speed skate to a vert skate, you cant compare an off road/downhill bike to street bike. One is good for one, the other is good for another. A street bike would send me shattering off road and break probably.
