Went out and got some ZMA. I tried it and have always had trouble sleeping. It has helped tremendously. It does not seem to "knock" me out at bedtime, but I seem to sleep deeper and do dream. Just thought I would add my two cents. Only been one week, but I did notice.

Glad to hear it Deb.
![]() I'm feeling the fact that I ran out last week. I've been waking up in the middle of the night and taking 30 to an hour to fall back to sleep. Note to self, get some more ZMA.Jeff

I found this thread and wondered how well Ionic Fizz ranks against ZMA?
I have been having trouble in the last few months at the beginning of skating with muscle tightness on the outsides above the ankles, muscles. From just above the ankle bone upwards about 8 to 10 inches. It takes me an hour to an hour and half to work it out so I can skate hard. It is getting discouraging, pain before the workout. Used to skate hard from the beginning(about 10 minutes), take a short break, and crank it out for hours, not anymore....

Started skating on quads worked up slowly over 30 minutes to warm up. No pain through warm up time. Then increased speed and started skating normal for me, no issues. I hope this is not a fluke, so I will do this again next weekend. But will stay on Ionic Fizz per instructions and see if the results are a repeat. I only took one glass of it this morning, so it had time to work but not build up. Usually after skating is over and the long drive home is done, I have a lot of aching in my muscles when I get out of the car, not tonight, legs feel fine. Happy camper if this is the results of a simple supplement.

Of all the things I've tried, the only thing that has had a noticeable effect on me was the Dr prescribed androgel. Once my hormones were back to normal levels, all aches, pains, excess weight, excess hunger, lethargy, depression, sleep issues (with apnea - weight related) and attitude all came back like when I was a kid.
At 45 I was 287lbs, 150/105 blood pressure and 86 resting HR. 7 months on the manCream and I was down to 200lbs. I've held within 5lbs of that for 2 years now. At 47 my BP is now 117/70 and resting HR of 48. Don't know how old you are, or if you've had hormones checked, but a fellow skatelogger recommended that I investigate mine and she was absolutely right. GOOD LUCK!!

Had hormone level checked last year, no issues. Second day of skating with using Ionic Fizz magnesium. No problems with muscle burn again. Warmup went great, then cranking out the laps again. 4 1/2 hours later no issues at all. Back the way things used to be
Feels so nice! Next trial again on Tuesday night(round three) to confirm that low magnesium was the problem.

3rd session on the ionic fizz magnesium test. No muscle burn last night either. I will continue with this stuff. Got my answer to the problem for that now. So much easier to warm up and get going. My resting heart rate is in the lower 50s. I am 51.

Glad I decided to read this thread. I am going to try magnesium now. I have restless leg syndrome and maybe a few other issues magnesium is supposed to quell.

Hope it works for you. It has made a great improvement on my comfort levels during warm-up.

I took the first one after lunch and then fell asleep for an hour. Really tired. Will see what happens. Drinking a red bull just in case the magnesium keeps me in sleep mode.
I love this new split shift at work. |

Was taking the magnesium in the morning then read it should be taken before sleep. Also says that if you are deficient it can take months to get back to normal levels.

I agree about the dreaming remarks while taking magnesium. I am getting some wild dreams. Normally I don't remember them. It has been entertaining.

I will try the magnesium for one more week. I am noticing a lot less energy. Not sure if it is the sudden weather change.

Been dreaming a lot too. Usually get the best rest when I do. Like said earlier, very entertaining.

Still no issues with leg pain since starting magnesium. I only have to take it about once a week to maintain. But I dont actually know what interval to take to maintain acceptable levels. Just know that I have gotten rid of the burning legs problem. That is good enough for me.
