Default Aggressive skates at a Skate rink

I took my Razor's to a indoor skating rink, and they had a wooden floor. TALK ABOUT TRACTION! Has anyone ever skated on wood? Doesn't hurt nearly as bad when you hit either.

I thought it was very cool, I just wish they had some elevation changes. Broke my new skates in nicely tho. Brushed up on my backward skate too. Big time.

If you've never skated on a wood rink floor, I highly recommend trying it.

Peace,
Dave

No need. I plan to shovel off the skate park this winter. I just hope I don't piss off those show boarders.

Yes, there used to be quite a few wood floors around.
With the development of urethane wheels there wasn't a need for wood [expensive] so almost all are concrete with a urethane coating now.
Yes, my ultra soft Kryptos stuck like glue on them....loosen the trucks some more.

Unless you learn freestyle or sumthin, you will get bored quickly now in the rink. But its great to practice basics like backwards, jumps, more controlled stuff and a good way to keep on rollin when its yucky outside. I do some artistic/jam stuff on quads but still tend to get bored now if I just go to the rink since there is nothing to jump off of or ramps or anything. Around and around the flat circle isnt as fun........

Yeah, going round and round would be boring, but since last saturday night we had a hurricane here in Oklahoma City (literally lol) that was the only skating option. Plus I'm teaching my littlest one to skate. We've been twice now. Until my little girl gets stronger on her skates, as a family, we're kinda limited on where we can go together. (I try not to tell her or her brother that I sneak to the skate park at lunch while they're at school)

I've only had my hockey skates at skating rinks. Dont think my Razors would do too well. Hard wheels and none of the rinks around here have real wood.

It'd probably be a good idea for me to go to rinks more often though. I could def work on my conditioning although not smoking might help too. lol

There's some things even I won't do. And that's one of them.

Well what you do is you skate on one foot, bring the other foot out front and squat down into the shoot the duck position with hands out to the side, stand back up, yeah, it'll bust your quads lol! I can go down lol. Cant do it free handed going up yet though, lol, not yet........

The one skated squat.
