It's actually a pretty good environment to skate in! The floor needs a good refurbishing and is a bit small; and when it gets crowded it really gets crowded! The regulars are extremely friendly and happy to talk to new skaters. The cost was $18 to get in the door, with a $10 security deposit to rent skates, plus $4.50 to rent a pair of skates. I saw a few rollerbladers there but it was mostly rollerdancing and jam skating on quads.
Overall I'd give the experience a B- mainly because of the floor's condition and pricey entrance fee. |

I've heard a lot about Roxy's, and that's how it's discribed .... Crowded, small, and a lot of energy. It's on my to do list when/if I visit my sister in NYC. Also plan to skate Central Park and check out the famous RedTail Hawks living near there.
