We hate people like you.
![]() I was thinking of a rule or two. No weighing in in between weekly weigh-ins. Weigh-in should be around Tues, Wed. which is when most all started. It also is in middle of the week farther away from week-end parties where one might go astray. (TD is all talk, blah blah, hype, but on the weekend he might dive head first into a Trifle bowl) |

Last week: 172
Last night: 169 Goal:160-165 I was around 160, 13 months ago, then I started skating and lost fat but gained muscle. I lost 4" in my waist in the first six months of skating. "I think" that the bike will help me lose the excess. |

Has anyone noticed that BWI-Sheldon already seems to be thinning down. At least according to his avatar.

Ha! We'll see buddy boy... I'll have you know I'm in Elkhart already, we're on vacation and to do the race. I've already been tempted beyond measure by the family, they've had cinnamon pretzels, ice cream floats, and candy today already! Aaah! I've had NADA though my man... in fact I think I'll be working out after dinner - better keep up!

Day #1 of my experimental weight loss program, I was doing fine. Wheat Chex for breakfast, P&J for lunch, 1 apple and 3 bananas between meals for snack.......but then at one point I went down to HR to confer with the lead secretary and dispensed myself 5 or 6 M&M's out of her little machine on the counter, popped them in my mouth and wound up halfway back to my office before I was even aware of what I had done. Sneaky little enticers. Day #2, no slips. Of course it would be easier if I had a repartee going like BWI & TD, so much time spent yammering, no time left for eating!

I dipped below 200lbs yesterday briefly for the first time in many many years.
Sadly, I went back to 202lbs today after some celebration waffles.

I thought to be a funny guy here and post a picture of an anorexic male. Lo and behold, it can't be found. Obviously this is a dispathia (my own word) of the OTHER gender.

At 6ft 4in tall I'm trying to stay at around 200lbs but with less body fat. I've only made it to 200 once. Everyone says I have to eat more.

agreed. unhealthy to the point of being distressing. Without knowing the whole story, i am reluctant to rush to judgement, but inside i have to say it strikes me as quite sad.
Skater's bodies are imminently beautiful, and you'd never get a body like that from skating.... |

I don't want to be that thin. When it comes to food..I sometimes have a self defeating...ok, so I had pie with whipped cream last night.
But today I have been good!.....so far....tiny bowl of cereal &1/2 cup of milk(nights are my downfall)....and someone I know is having a cookout tomorrow!!! It will be OK, though-If I can get up that early, I think tomorrow will be my first day back on skates. I have no willpower there either. I just can't wait a whole 6-8 weeks. It has been 5 and I feel OK.,,,(OK, so there is a tiny bit of pain, but I am getting REALLY BORED without skating.) Oh, maybe it has been 4 weeks since I skated. I skated with the broken back right after it happened-only 3 times before I realized it wasn't going away on its own. So maybe a bit of exercise will help. I promise to do only 7-11 miles very slowly on rec skates to make sure there is no re-injury. My friends at work are trying to get me to promise not to skate at all...can't do that. |
