We don't really have an adult night (YET) but we do have open "art" practice on Wednesday Nights starting @ 5PM till the last skater drops! We have one of the country's best organists move into the area, DAVE PADEN, who is also teaching here @ Skateland North GReensboro NC. The North rink USED to have an adult night, but Andy had so many problems that he finally quit doing it. I hope that he will start it back up.

Cal skate GT in Grand Terrace California has a nice Adult skate on Wednesdays from 8:30 to 11:00 for $6.

It wasn't that bad everyone seem to just want to have fun rolling fast doing there own thing.

cool i am proud of you Brik and to think you were scared to go skate New York lol. i always had a good time there and never a problem. i wonder if they have any pics or literature up there about an old manager named Charlie Waters, he died at like 43 of a heart attack about 10 years ago. real good skater, did art, singles and pairs.

Not scared but walking into a new rink I kinda get nervous not knowing what to expect.
Yes it was lots of fun i was thinking of trying this one soon. Where it all started Sat 11pm-4am

i started this night a few months ago and has been good scene about 50 people getting their skate on at our local rec/skating rink
its small so 50 peeps is pretty rockin
were rolling behind the redwood curtian

Just so you know, Empire is now closed, the building is gone.
The last skating session was this past april 22nd.
I was there with the Kids for the last session.......
The Best Adult night was Tues nights......
Have no clue why the Website is still up
The Roxy In NYC also closed over the Summer....Those were the 2 major rinks in the NYC area.....
The 2 following rinks get the skaters from Empire & Roxy
There are plenty of session around here(jersey).

I live within 15 min. of 2 rinks that have Adult nights :

RollerJam USA is in Staten Island NY They have Adult Nights on Sat Nights 9-1:30 & people From Long Island,NYC,Jersey,Philly & Delaware come out to this session .......Great Session with 2 DJ's.

BranchBrook Park (BBP) in Newark NJ.......They have 3 adult nights during the week & host one of the Biggest Monthly(1st Thurs.) sessions on the east coast.....700-800 skaters Maybe 50 that rent.....

They do Sun. Night 9-1am 2-300 skaters every week
Tues.Night 9-1am 1-200 skaters every week
2nd,3rd & last Thurs 9-1am 2-300 skaters every week
First Thurs like I said draws 7-800 skaters & is from 9-2am...People come from all over the east coast to attend this event,Lots of Rhythm skaters and some jam skaters.....Lots of different style Shuffle skaters......

Wed. Night is in Philly (50 min. for me) 9-11:30......Mainly Shuffle skating to alot of freestyle music.....
Its an ok session,BUT not like it was years ago......It really went down hill for the Adult session......

chez vous music always was right on Brik so it doesnt surprise me it still is. do they use music thats censored or anything goes as far as language?? the roxy was the place to go way back in the day but i never got there.

I just stumbled on this site and now I will be a frequent member.

Saw the different posting on this topic and I wanted to chime in.
The majority of the posting are coming from the east coast and thats good. Here on the "left" coast, things are ramping up. More adult night upcoming for 2008. This will give the "skaters" an new venue(s) on where to skate in No Cal.

I'm currently promoting Adult Skate at 2 rinks in the Sacramento, CA area. The owners are "jazzed" because the adults are more behaved and the atmosphere is better than the kids. Here are the 2 upcoming events in Sacramento:

These are special sessions, so date(s) are not consistent. R&B, old school and smooth jazz will be played.
