lolz

I havn't been to the skatepark in more than a dam month. Been to the rink about once a week, but going round and round sux.

I hope I still remember how to drop in when the weather finally breaks around here. We did have a nice day today, but I had to take my quad runners in for service and that ate up the whole day. We might try to get a roll in tomorrow. Weather pending.

Hope everyone is doing well here!

Doing great, Foot! Thanks! I hope you get your chance to regain your vert feet really soon! (work off some of that winter fat....eh?)

I had a great session last Monday. I might have to go skating on an off day next week, as it is supposed to rain this next Monday. Maybe, I'll go for a day trip to New Braunfels. I want to get some new footage soon as I have been expanding my skate tricks and skate style. This year, I vow to learn switch side stance.

Hmmm, so more people than just me have issues with riding side stance switch? Good, I thought I was a freak for not being able to do it both ways equally. I know it is something in how I hold my hips and how flexible I am that keeps me from doing it well switch. Am I thinking right on that? That switch is opposite direction? Or is that goofy?

Goofy is leading with the right foot. Regular is leading with the left. Switch is doing the opposite of whichever stance (goofy or regular) you normally do. This applies more to ledges and rails for inline skaters.

For a quad skater who skates sideways, it applies more to which foot you lead with, but also to the way you approach rails and ledges....i.e : from the left or from the right.

Skating forwards is well..........skating regular or just plain forwards while skating backwards is called fakie.

Okay, so it is more natural for me to lead with the left foot. So I skate regular when I side surf. So it is harder for me to skate goofy/switch then. I also noticed I turn funny slightly to one direction when grinding. I think this is part of why it is easier for me to skate regular than goofy. I think one leg/hip is more flexible than the other.

I have a problem with my left knee. The muscles are not as strong as the muscles in my right knee for maintaining side stance in that direction. My goal is to find an area (empty lot) to skate around in my 'switch' stance in order to strengthen those muscles.

Manly needs?
I am sure they got him a beer, turned the game on, and shut their traps.
