ARGH! I've still only gotten through page 13....and I'm discovering, I've got WAY too many songs. hehe I think I have around 90% of those listed so far.

I'm now scared to see how many discs this is gonna take....

Default Reggae is in the Mix

Hi UK-Goldiloks,

I believe if you look back Reggae is in the mix in this long music tread. I believe Brikkee (Ricky) who no longer visits here likes that style of music. Could be wrong. Now DanceHall..

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave.
P.S. Next I will play your links and Thks in Advance.

Okay, so, after going through this thread, and others like it, I now have 820 songs for an "Ultimate Skate Set". Sadly, this number does NOT include my own songs (personal choices, 70's and 80's ones I listed quite a few pages back, as well as a lot of newer ones).

What the heck was I thinking?????

*does the math*

Even BEFORE I add my own, that's enough to fill almost 57 discs!

I see an infomercial in the future.... "Hey Dave, remember those good old days of skating around the rink? Well, we've compiled 57 discs of the best skating tunes for one low price!!! Just listen to this oldie but a goodie...."

p.s. When you see that infomercial, call me so I can order it.

When I see it? I'll be the one filming it! LOL Let's see....

Members from Sugarhill Gang, The Bar-Kays, and Grandmaster Flash..."This is all brought to you by...her!" *camera pans to me* "Yes, I was a skater in the 70's and 80's and have been desperately collecting every available skate song possible for your enjoyment, thanks to the Skate Log Forum, and decided to bring these skating treasures to you...." LOL

P.S. I've started adding in my own...and I'm now up to 63 discs...I click on the handy little "All Songs" then "Alphabetical"...and I'm only up to the songs that begin with I's for my personal favs! *headdesk*

Default 63 discs

Thats got to be some kind of record. How many hours of music on 63 discs? It would be one heck of a long session skate with no repeated songs.

HEY! Welcome back, Dennis! Haven't seen ya around in a while.

As for hours...I haven't even tried adding it all up yet. Kind of scared to. LOL I've got a LOT of different versions of each song as well ("originals", extended versions, club versions, remakes, etc.) so I'm also having a heck of a time deciding which version to put on there with some of 'em. I LOVE Blondie's "The Tide is High", but...I think Atomic Kitten's version would be easier to skate (shuffle) to. It's SLIGHTLY faster than the original. I'm tempted to put EVERY version on, though...which could be dangerous.

There was also some decent rock songs that made for a great slower shuffle skate too.
Urgent - Foreigner
Baby Love - Mother`s Finest
Turn Me Loose - Loverboy
Ah Leah - Donnie Iris
to name a few
