FROM SKATELOG FORUM HOST KATHIE FRY IN MARCH OF 2020:
This announcement is to let everyone know that after hosting the SkateLog Forum and its predecessors for nearly 20 years, I have decided it is time to permanently turn the forum over to a new owner and administrator. I cannot think of anyone more suitable to take on that role than my SkateLog forum co-host, Florida skater Jessica Wright. I am pleased to announce that Jessica has agreed to establish and host a brand new skating forum, configured like the SkateLog Forum, but with a new name and a new Web Site. This new forum is 100% owned and operated by Jessica.

NEW FORUM NAME: SkateDebate Forum

Default Frame ID?

http://inlineplanet.com/video/naomi_london.wmv

Can anyone ID the frames on this girl's skates? She changes scenes several times throughout the video, when this happens they show a quick close up of her skates. They look like RB Twister boots, but the frames look different than the current Twister IIs. Thanks!

Coo. Thanks for the quick reply.

Another question for the freestyle guys:

I am new to inline gear and I'm trying to figure out what I need to get into slalom/freestyle. I am very particular when it comes to quality and I would like to get the best available (regardless of cost). I have years of indoor quad skating experience and can do basic stuff like grapevine and heel moves. Slalom sounds like a good reason to take the game outdoors.

With that said, where do I start?

Also, how interchangeable are inline frames? More specifically, can one mount different frame sizes to the same size boot?

Rokdaddy,

They are indeed Seba frames.

The most popular choice for freestyle slalom skates at the moment are either the Rollerblade Twister:

http://www.rollerblade.com/products/...id=5&target=12

or the MX/Universkate Seba High:

Both skates use stepped frames with a 165mm spacing, so a variety of frames could be used.

Coo. Thanks. I think that I will try the Twisters (since I can try those on locally) for now and maybe upgrade the frames later.

That's probably the best way to go... you might not even want to upgrade the frames later on and if you do want to, there are more options in frames than just the seba's, so if that time comes; just ask here
