Hey guys,
i am new to this forum and to speed skating. Actually i skate on Bont Jet with Powerslide Vi Al frame and Matter G13 110mm F1 wheels. I changed original Powerslide Infinity wheels for G13, but there is a problem - since i changed the wheels, my lap times are slower for 30 or more seconds in 3300m long circuit. I can't feel any positive change from my Infinity wheels and after only 10km the wheels are worn. To the point - i have bought these wheels from chinesse e-shop, for just 150$. Here is the link: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/free-...344808552.html So i'm thinking about possibility, that the wheels are fake. But does it worth for chinesse company to try to copy wheels like these? Or is it just me? What do you think? |

They're likely fake. It's the same site that is selling fake Simmons boots and I saw the same skate on FB had fake G13's on it.

If you used a credit card you could try getting your money back by filing a complaint. Otherwise I guess you could still use them if they skate ok other than being slower.

Wow...
No offense, but searching through that site is amazing. There are some seriously sketchy items there. I submit these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/One-P...897297476.html Take a look at the milling around the mounting plate, for instance. And these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/The-S...901416622.html The frames are an obvious fake. Easy to spot: the wheel size markings are in the wrong spots. Not as easy to spot: the general geometry is different, thinner support structures, especially between the center wheels. I can imagine this frame folding under hard use or from supporting larger skaters. I don't really even know what to say about these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/5-pai...849073625.html What is that center... thing? I don't even... Anyway and the best one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-S...371354104.html Just... yeah. It's kind of fun to look through, though. |

I think it is really amusing to see these counterfeit products. Usually the Chinese knock off products that sell in large enough quantities to make the effort worthwhile.

I changed "G13" back to Infinity wheels and Infinity wheels are much faster. So it is true, i threw away 150$ for fakes. I could buy MPC Blackwidow instead in my local eshop... Or can you recommend good wheels for asphalt inline circuit under 150$? Thank you.

If you can get Bont Mayhems they'd be a decent choice for just about any surface and they've been on sale lately.

They are fake. The price for 110mm G13 wheels is about $200 in China.
As a Chinese, I really feel shame about this. ![]() Quote:
