Default Recommendations for quality wrist guards for session skatin

After nine years of nearly weekly sessions at the rink, my luck finally ran out and I fell while jam skating and broke my wrist. As I sit here with the splint that the doctor put on yesterday, and maybe a cast next week,I am thinking I may now have to finally succumb to wearing wrist guards at skating. I think they are ugly. Yes I'm a fussy girl, so I will most likely start designing and sewing sparkly wrist guard covers like I have done for my skate boots! What is a good brand and comfortable wrist guards for ladies?
