Default Its been a long time...

I'm 45 now but a couple of days ago I went along with my daughter to a roller skating evening at a local community centre, they had some skates to hire and as I had been a reasonably competent skater 30 years ago I hired some and had a go. After a bit of a shaky start it all started to come back.

I'm a keen cyclist but at this time of year that tails off, and roller skating seems as though it would be a good way to keep fit and active.

The adults who were running the evening told me that the sometimes head down to the rink I used to skate at as a kid, they suggested that ebay was a good place to look for skates but other than that didn't have much advice.

I guess that things have changed a bit over 30 years (inline skates were brand new then) but I had Bauer Turbos with Simms Streetsnake wheels. It seems that the wheels are still available but the Bauer Turbo's aren't. Supreme Turbo 33 seem an equivalent but are wheels much of an issue?

Lastly I'm presuming that Quad Roller is the current terminology for skates with wheels at 4 corners?
