Default Girls as goalies = groin protection?

OK, my partner wants to make her hockey comeback as a goalie (oh, the smell). We are looking at the protective gear, and the one thing we can't figure out is groin area protection. As a floor player, being female, she didn't require nor wear a jock (obviously).

Looking at the goalie padded shorts some, if not most, include a bit of groin area padding but it doesn't appear to be a lot. She also played in goals once a long time ago and only goalie shorts with no extra groin protection. We are now trying to figure out of the padded shorts with some padding are sufficient, or if she should be using a jock without the hard cup installed. Anyone know what other female goalies do?

After breaking my pelvic bone some years ago by some ******* horse kicking me in the groin area, I don't think I'd want to play hockey without groin protection.
