Default Pivot Cups

I asked Doc about this, but I think he is busy.

I bought new brass pivot cups for my Reactor plates. Took a while to get the old ones out, but when I did I noticed the old cups were rounded on the bottom, but the new ones where not; so when I put the new ones in they do not sit flush. There is about a 16th on an inch sticking out.

Did I get sent the wrong cups?

Where did you get them? I suppose it's possible that you got Pro Line cups by mistake.

You should put the new style Delrin pivots in those. No more wear issues.

I messaged the vendor. East Coast Skates I think it was. He said the Pro Line and Reactor pivot cups are the same. So yes, he sent me the Pro Line cups.

I've done a bit a searching and every vendor I can find seems to be selling the same ones that are not rounded. I would have purchased the Delrin if I had known.

The vendor suggested altering them with a bench grinder. Think I should just return them and get a set of Delrin's?

So, they have sold you the wrong ones and then told you to grind them to make them fit rather than supplying the correct ones?

I does seem to be looking that way. I've asked for a replacement.

He has agreed to send the Delrin cups instead. Hopefully they work.

In the mean time anybody have suggestions on what grease to lube them with?

Delrin doesnt need grease, its self lubricating.

Now you should look into putting some suspension grease where the cushions contact the truck though. That makes for a very fluid edging experience.

Yeah. I think that is counter productive in this case. Giving dirt something, the grease, to adhere to.
