No drinking, smoking or other for me in skating nor other parts of my life. I groove off of the music and sometimes off of other's skills while trying to improve mine.

I've always heard it phrased "recipe for disaster not recipe from disaster? Have I've been saying it wrong or is it phrased different in the UK. Just asking.

Pretty sure it is "for".

Default Hello.

I do and must comment the concern that you gentleman have for the other skaters at your group and hope that person does find a good path and hopefully some good supportive people like your self s to encourage them. till next time.. I must say even after ten years.. I still have a hard time getting to know people and I'm just glad to be able to have actually had a mature discussion about the topic.

So best regards..
and nowa days the only thing I have to worry about is getting stiff from skating too much.. it's just a lot better that way..

Drug use was very common when I started back in the 80's, weed was used but the most common drug of choice was LSD... offered a long lasting high of at least 12 hours or so, and was exclusive to the "all nighter" crowd - usually skate events that were held from dusk till dawn.

Alcohol has always been around.

I have some experience in drug recognition and effects, and I think it is reasonable to say that "club drugs" have made their way into the culture, but I straggly doubt that the harder stuff has shown its face.

I've skated a few times after having a few beers. I just felt like I'd had about ten drinks the next day. Had the worst hangover ever. And I hadn't even been drunk. Must have just been dehydrated from the skating.

You're correct yes. That's what my brain said but my fingers typed otherwise.
