Has anybody thought about converting their garage into a skate dance studio?
I get used rolls of linoleum for my chicken coups and want to lay a large roll on my garage floor to cushion my falls and protect my wheels. I want to set some large mirrors on the walls to work on proper form. Some speakers set up in the corners and few mirror balls and laser lights. Some 70's style linens with magnets to stick to my metal storage shelves to hide my bins with style. Even thought about some large roller skater silhouettes and neon skate signs. |

I use sawdust for the chicken, it absorbes the wet, the dry gets covered and doesn't stink as much and it's easy to dispose of, (compost, fertilizer)
The vinyl will bog down the wheels, even bare cement works, but sealing it with paint wouldn be better. Wear wrist guards if you go to ground often. Headphones work wonderfully. |

Sounds like a fun project. The music, lights and mirror ball will def set the mood. But the most important item is a mirror(s) so you can see your moves and NOT look down at your feet. Feet staring is a hard habit to break.

Ursle, I was thinking that the wheels might leave indentations in the padded linoleum and slow the wheels down. I have walk in coops that require lots of hay for coverage. I layer the hay over the poop and it breaks down the waste. I use linoleum to protect the plywood flooring. Derrick, The garage floor surface is smooth, so I might just get outdoor wheels and wear some safety pads. Last edited by JerryR708; November 7th, 2018 at 06:51 AM. Reason: spelling |
