FROM SKATELOG FORUM HOST KATHIE FRY IN MARCH OF 2020:
This announcement is to let everyone know that after hosting the SkateLog Forum and its predecessors for nearly 20 years, I have decided it is time to permanently turn the forum over to a new owner and administrator. I cannot think of anyone more suitable to take on that role than my SkateLog forum co-host, Florida skater Jessica Wright. I am pleased to announce that Jessica has agreed to establish and host a brand new skating forum, configured like the SkateLog Forum, but with a new name and a new Web Site. This new forum is 100% owned and operated by Jessica.

NEW FORUM NAME: SkateDebate Forum
NEW WEB SITE: SkateDebate.com
NEW OWNER AND ADMINISTRATOR: Jessica Wright

Default Missing Larry's posts

At the risk of being totally out-of-line, does any one know Larry-O? And if they are not betraying a confidence, know how he's doing? I always liked his take on things here in the forum.

Default Rufus skates the same rink sometimes

Hi Derrick,

I expected Burn Out, when I read his posts, or boredom in us. He was just putting out too too much energy that is unsustainable. I did advise him.

In my skate life I have met many of these great skaters that come, put out a blast and then are gone. I would not be surprised to find out he has an injury.

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

It did take me an entire year to learn a three turn. Still wirking on that spin and waltz-jump.

I finally figured out jow to set the IB. Now I just need to be able to hold the rotation. Perhaps by next year.

I have not been to Moonlight, a rink where I would see Larry-O, for 4 months. May never go back in fact. I don't think I had seen Larry in the last 4 or 5 weeks when I was going. Injury is a possibility. Hell, it bit me. Larry was skating riskier. Jumps and such. Small, mind you, but he did that stuff regularly.

Away from the rinks and the computer there is rumored to be something they call "real life". He may have accidentally strayed into it and got caught.
