Mate, your welcome to skate what you like, but I only have quads. My young fella has inline hockey skates but that's his call
And as for old and new gear, as long as your havin a crack is all that matters! I have a lot of new gear, but it doesn't make me any better

It's been a long very long time since I was any good at all. Where do you suggest that has a decent session skate?

That's a tuff one? Both rinks near us, hardly or don't clean their floors and they generally just let kids run amok!

Absolutely. I am started to become interested in skating again, I think. Who'd a thunk it!

After a few thousand hours on both, you kind of just run with whatever every one else is running, although TBH, I do prefer the ease and agility of quads just for the pure fun perspective. If I want to go REALLY fast, got to give the edge to the blades, indoor or out.

Yeah, inlines will always be faster (when everything else is equal), but yeah... quads all the way for me!!

I used to take money bottles down to the milk bar then sneak around the back and pinch them and sell em back to the shop owner to pay for the train fare and entry fee.
but the shop owner got wise and waited behind the back door and caught me red handed, that was my illustrious career ruined.
wallabys puma boots and hustlers[like an ice flow], scrimped and saved birthday money etc ,it seemed like an eternity waiting for the plates.
We all slung the boots over our shoulders also.

That was when Kirks (I think) made a drink called 'Anything'.
It was awesome cause when you asked what someone wanted, the reply was 'anything is fine'!

Default Wallabies were my first plate

This is an old thread, but Wallabies were my first plates; mounted on some soccer boots with green Kryptos. Bought it all at the old Campbelltown flat rink on Badgally Rd before the Rollarena was built.

I couldn't afford the Kangaroos
