Thanks guys, as you can tell I'm pretty excited And as it happened I got the notification for my achilles surgery date yesterday. It's May18th so I'll be off skates for quite some time after that (possibly upto 12 months). I'm so stoked that I found all the right pieces in enough time to give them a skate before I have to take a break.

Nice, look like the DA 45 trucks will fit the wallaby as well.

Same as the first skates I had, but minus the toe stops and my wheels were different.

Your forgiven for the toe stops . Lol

I'll just leave this here ...

Have a good look at the original photos Salamanda posted for context; there's a lot of work gone into in these! Only thing left is some flips I recon ...

Thanks, they did come out nicely I'm slightly disappointed I couldn't get them further forward, but it was nice to be working on proper old-school stuff!

There is only so far forward you can shove most plates before you run out of boot or have to do nose surgery, and that would just be wrong!
They look great, and they should skate pretty damn nice as well.
They really have that old school cool with a nice twist.

The limiting factor was the thin part of the sole (where the bridge of the foot is) and the Wallabys being pretty damn wide!

But yes, I have to say it's a very neat combination; I'm glad Salamanda held out for all the exact right parts for what she wanted
