He's doing well thanks. He seems to be on the mend now. I sent him an email with the picture attached and I heard back from him this morning.
It is a Sure Grip Australia product and it was designed personally by my stepfather (I imagine to provide a locally made alternative to Boens but don't quote me on that). The pivot cups are steel. I have no other details.

Interesting.. At some point maybe he can provide us a few more details?? Steel pivot cups and Sure Grip = an adjustable pivot pin as far as I know. Note, I said as far as I know. There may be some cases of ancient history I am not aware of.

Upon re-reading his reply he states "it has steel pivots the same as the Sure Grip Classic". I had specifically asked about the pivot cups but I guess on reflection the answer could be a bit ambiguous. I'll ask him a bit more at a later date. Now's not the best of times! But at least we solved part of the mystery

By all means, let the man heal. I do hope he can be of further assistance about these and other thing Aussie when he is better. I am never pleased when I have to fall back to the DUH! potion..
