Default Comments about Seba IgoR's

For those that have the igor, I would like to know how u lace up the cuff? Problem I'm having is it's almost impossible and very time consuming to get my laces in the ankle eyelets that are under the carbon cuff. The eyelets are so tight against the cuff and further inside the cuff that I can't get the laces thru the holes. Does that make sense? I had to take the carbon cuffs off the boot to get the laces on the ankle. What am I doing wrong?!!

Also, I have never used a rockered skate. They feel terribly unstable at any speed above a crawl. Turning is crazy easy but I feel like I'm on greased pavement.

I can't comment on your lace issue but can help you with some exercises to help with edge control.

These are the basics I live by every time I go skating.

Here are some great videos I found for freestyle and slalom. I will be using theses to observe and hopefully get started with my next level of skating.

I have a pair of Seba Highs and have the same problem with the laces and cuff. It's been a while since I was on them, prefer the Trix for day to day, but I remember pre-lacing the Highs as much as possible and carefully distributing the slack in the laces so I could get my foot in the skate. The edges on the cuff are sharp, so I had to sand them down to avoid cuts on my hands.

Agree on the rockering, I was using two different size wheels but went back to flat.

Lace length has nothing to do with the problem I'm having. Although I appreciate your trying to help. The eyelets are such a close fit under the carbon cuff that you cannot get the laces thru the eyelets with the cuff in place. Really bizarre.

I was kind of thinking if the laces are longer you could thread them all and have enough slack to leave them in so they will never have to come out of the eyelets to slip your foot in and take the skate off.

Ahh, that may work. I will have to order some longer ones to try. Plus as a bonus if their long enough, after tying them maybe I will have enough to hold my pants up!
