I wore out several sets of Kryptos back in the 80ís. Always got the blue ones. And Kryptos was such a bitchen name. Iím sure there were people who bought them just for the name. It was a great wheel at the time. In hindsight they were too soft for my liking, like maybe 70a on the hardness scale as I recall. They would smooth out rough pavement, but slowed your speed like you were driving on a flat tire. Also, the softness made them wear out faster. Low profile, too. I like harder & taller wheels now.

Jona the one-hit wonder. This video is so bad, itís good. The kaleidoscope with him in the center while copies of him circled around the outside is tubular and rad!

Yeah, I had a set of the slim green ones, about 96A, as a kid. A few guys had the yellow or red ones for outdoor racing. Never saw any of the blue ones.

I managed to got hold of a set of red 78As, the same as in the video, two years ago. After rolling around with them outdoors for a few weeks, I had to admit they were a bit small for anything but reasonably smooth surfaces, so I sold 4 of them to a skateboarder. I've still got the other 4 and nobody seems to want to buy them; I guess nostalgia only goes so deep.

My wife and I have found 2 sets of old red Kryptos and put them on our outdoor skates. I used mine the other day with my daughters, and kept going faster than they could.
