One way, other than a tramp, is to put on the skates (with cheap wheels/bearings), and go to some grassy area, and just do somersaults. Keep doing them until you can sort of jump and roll over.

Then, get a cheap mattress and put it at the end of a driveway. Skate up to it, and do that somersault you were practicing in the grass. Since it's a mattress, you should be able to quickly progress toward a flip.

Of course, work on getting some altitude on your jumps, keeping your legs tucked, etc.

Once you're landing consistently on your skates on the mattress, it's time to go live!

well the thing with canada is it snows and ya cant skate for 9 months and the only indoor parks are open in the summer in the hockey rinks, the street skating is good because we have lots of those complexes of stores around 1 lot so theres parking lot dividers and lots of good grden gaps...the problem with it is in the winter they put gravel down to keep the cars from sliding so it can be really rocky and the rails are high or right up next to a wwall so ya have to wax ledges to grind and by the time you finish some shopkeep is normally out yellin at ya, so ya have 2 go at night or in the morning, i would give the canadian parks (east side) 5/10 because there arnet alot and they arnt maintained well, but id give the street skating 7/10 because of the rocky/bumpy ground
