Granted. Though you were desiring a tart and tasty confection, you receive a candy product made with an unsatisfactory sugar substitute. You feel cheated.

I wish that I would look good in ballet tights.

(Not that I don't now! This is just a game, right?)

Too funny! Chuck, I'm not trying to encourage him but that is just too funny! Perfect way to start my day. I must be immature or hooked up wrong. Sorry, Chuck!

Why is she wearing a name tag? Enquiring minds ( and mine) want to know. Did I miss a connection in one of the posts?

Speedy your wish to be refered to as m'lord is granted except only on alternating Tuesdays in the bathtub by a spider.

I wish I could skate all the time.

Granted. You get the jar open effortlessly. However, you soon realize that the advertising slogan, "With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good," is not only wrong, but very wrong. Your concord grape jelly is in fact made from the discarded torsos of people whose heads are being cryogenically saved for the future. As you read the list of ingredients, you retch and heave when you read the name of your skating buddy, "NWGlenn." Glenn, while a great guy in life, makes a bitter and foul jelly. As you finish your sandwich, you vow never to buy Smuckers brand jelly again.

I wish for more time to spend with my family.

Your wish is granted as NASA discovers where to find new hours of the day, but your life span drops by a commensurate amount

I wish we could just get along

I believe that Speedy owes us an answer to Mark's wish for the hand sanitizers reference...

I tried but I was leaning to the toilet humor... Not gonna do it!

Granted. The cosmos quiver in anticipation and the universe holds its breath... A cursed monkey's paw forced to give corrupted wishes results in wishes that are exactly what the wisher desires. A new dawn is arriving, a golden age of peace, prosperity and fellowship is cresting the horizon. Music and laughter will be heard throughout every village and city of the world, small children will laugh and giggle as they snuggle with their parents. Truly, the age of man will be at its zenith!

Instead, Elizabeth Hurley finds herself glued to her computer monitor, desperately seeking information on something she can't comprehend. Why is the image of a tall good looking man in spandex so powerful in her mind's eye? Why is she drawn to a vision of skating 87 miles with this unknown skater? Strange.

Instead, a small entrepreneur seeking to make a living wage whacks his trucks P.A. system with his palm repeatedly. Why can't he get "Turkey in the Straw" to blast through the neighborhoods? It was working a minute ago!

Instead, as Speedy steps out of the shower, his wife enters the room. She can't help but notice that something about Speedy is different. Her jaw drops and her hand involuntarily comes up to her chin. Speedy reaches for a towel to cover his nakedness but it is too late. "What?" he says. "It was always like that! What?"

And so, the world continues, changed, but yet the same. Same as it ever was...

I wish that I could curl my tongue.

wish granted...But the FAA deems that personal planes and flights are against the law...Kids are rioting everywhere as they realize that Santa Claus will not arrive at their house on Xmas eve.

I wish I could eat and type at the same time.

Granted. But a little girl gives you a potion that strips you of your invincibility and you become powerless as she beats you down.

I wish that all the Skatelog forum "regulars" would get together and do one big skate. (and not little subgroups, like there has been in the past)

Granted. But you no longer taste the pretzel, just the salt. And you suddenly realize that there's no liquid anywhere to drink.

I wish we weren't so silly.
