Simply don't apply it above the bottom of your ears, and that's on the sides and back of your neck, either a helmet or hat for your head.

Don't apply above your eyes. Helmet + sunglasses will keep your forehead in shade.

Non stinging sun screen would be useful for other activities, though. Hiking, for instance.

I always sweat profusely... and so, sunscreen or not... my eyes get filled with salty sweat and then my eyes burn relentlessly and I spend a whole lot of time wiping my forehead, face and eyes. Even when I use a fabric sweatband... the fabric eventually saturates and releases stored sweat into my eyes.

BUT... I've found relief!!!

I use a thing called Sweat Gutr, which is essentially like a roof's rain gutter except it fits my head. On hot days I don't skate without it. It nests well with my helmet and sunglasses.

+1 for the sombrero!

mineral based sunscreens seem to stay in place. but if you're skating in humid climes, and pouring buckets of sweat, then forego sunscreen around /above the eyes, and rather increase vits C, A, & E to counter any negative effects of the sun.

Default a hat + zinc

I avoid the sunscreens with camphor and benzeine.
why i do this?
Because i may as well crush moth balls up in a mortar pestal , juice it up with petrol/ gasoline and rub it all over then soak in the sun..
mmmmmmm got love carcinigens in everyday products.
pharma companys are here to keep us healthy .lol
