Default Skating in Fairfax Virginia ?

I am looking for a skate track/trail - better: people to skate with - in Fairfax/Virginia. I will probably be there on 29th of October and some of the evenings in the week after will be possible too. Both recreational and speed skating is fine for me.
Thanks for any hint or contact.

Best regards
Munich, Germany

Default Skating in Fairfax, VA

Clemens - There is a fairly large skating community in Fairfax, VA and the Washington, DC area. The Skater's Quest skate school and speed team is located in Fairfax; their web site is www.skatersquest.com. Their skaters typically get togther for Sunday morning and weekday evening skates. The Washington & Old Dominion Trail is a paved 45-mile trail that goes from Arlington, through Fairfax to Purcelville, check out www.wodfriends.org. In DC, the Washington Area Roadskaters, www.skatedc.org, have weekend and evening skates in Washington. Keep me informed of your travel schedule and maybe I can arrange for some skaters to skate with you.
