Red. The hubs, I'm not sure of, the wheels I use all have plastic ones and off-hand I can't remember if the Shaman's have plastic or metal. I've never had it dye plastic hubs, and can't imagine it dying metal ones, but you will have to make sure they're dried completely if you leave the metal hubs on. The only "problem" might come on any decals...those I've had take on the dye color with more aggressive colors (reds, blues, and other dark colors). And I think it's been mentioned that metal hubs can be removed, but I don't know if that applies to all wheels or just certain types of wheels...

Most metal hubs are not removeable.

The dye will not affect the metal, anyhow. The shamans blue anodized finish will not be affected.

dye away! post pics!

use red and use liquid red... if its a powder dont use it... check very very often like every minute and if you want darker leave them in longer.... this isnt a leave and come back and they are perfect thing... you leave them in to long you will get black...

Default well...

if you know the firm shamans, you know they are pretty pink, does checking them entail pulling them out, or just looking into the solution?

you need to pull them out and see if you like them.... them being wet will make them look a little lighter too... plus you need to wash them off when your done with the dye... you can always re-dye them darker but they can never go lighter

skatezify,

Like FarmTruk says, the hubs will not be affected by the dye.

Had you thought about removing the blue anodize from the hubs and shining them up? If so, you may want to remove it before you dye the wheel.

I used to use a fork through the metal hubs to pull them out and check the color, it fits nicely. You might be suprized what just a minute will do. Don't have your water too hot, it's not good for the wheels.

You should check the RIT color formula guide to be sure:

http://www.ritdye.com/colorit_color_formula_guide

They also have some very good dyeing techniques:

http://www.ritdye.com/dyeing-techniq...-formula-guide

Good luck!

Hey guys, i plan on dying some wheels sometime soon.

I hit up two walmarts tonight and both store didn't have RIT. Maybe i was in the wrong section, but all i could find at both places was "Tulip Fabric Dye"

If anyone has experience with this namebrand, could i get a heads up? (wort a shot or is it just a waste using this namebrand)

Thanks
-Blake
