Hi !BEN_HER,

We've got 3 gals here in the KC area that still do it, of course they all came out of California. I used to do some Rexing about 40yrs back, but kind of got away from it.

Seems like I've heard different people use "Rexing" as a name for different styles of skating- kind of like "Shuffle" sometimes is in different parts of the country. I've heard it applied to synchronized forwards couples skating (seems to be shuffle now most places), synchronized backwards couples skating, solo backwards skating in a style that's on the beat and uses a lot of leg-scissoring, and skating in place doing a lot of footwork like grapevining. And maybe others. What are you thinking of when you say "Rexing"?

Talking Reports Of My Brothers Death...

Are greatly exaggerated. Rexn is alive & well!

We do some serious Shuffling in Federal Way, WA. At PATTISON'S WEST BABY!

Live D.J. Skaters come from Cali, Oregon & Canada to shuffle with flavor...

Thumbs up Alive & Well & Soon to Thrive

Yeah the East coast has allways been cool like that... My Grandma&pa were from Oklahoma, its not the east but they did alot of skatin in those parts... Mainly Dance Figure.. Grandpa was a Rexer, he had the ground down wooden jobs with precision bearings, Snyders... Back then nobody heard of Snyders, but it quikly came to being the plate to have... He was one of the first to use a precision ball bearing in place of loose ball, he was a welder/machinist so needless to say, his skates were the talk of the rink... We were sittin and chatin about the old skatin days when it occurred to me... I need to bring this back!!! We need to bring this back!!! I will see the the little kiddies Rexing to Justin Biebier, or whatever{ God help us } but I'll see it happen... Rexing will again be a style known to young&old... It will snuff out this Hokie Pokie break dance on skates stuff and prevail.. {Jam skating? Whats that?? Ohhh you mean Rexing} Yup thats how it will go... One of thease days, I'm sure of it... So get out there peoples & Rex. Show them how its really done!!!!
Faithful Skater !BEN_HER!
