OG Boens for sure, been trying to get some of them for over 12 months,New Boens..dunno ,would they be better than the WIPs that i roll? They look a lot like the set of Starmasters i've got just machined out in the middle.Any advice would be appreciated.

YEAH that's an idea mort.
I skated his skates last year and must say they felt the same as My Boen set up. My problem with them is this.If I got a set I would need his big wheels to go with it.And then I most likely would not want to go back to my other setups. And I have many.....

I look at all costs and it just goes above what I want to pay. Shamans have been very consistent for wear and grip. Unlike older Anabolix high wear rates(8 sessions then they are slick) or Monzas(2 sessions and slick). Now, Hebegb and Scott have some very nice wheels, no doubt, I just cannot justify the expense. Shamans, white and green are the best wheels to be had for consistency and lower cost. I even buy them used and they work perfectly. Not so for the red Shamans, something about the chemical mix leaves them with less grip. |

Your logic is flawed I'm afraid.First how can wheels that wear in a few sessions be cheaper than a better ,virtually non wearing wheel.
Ok they cost twice as much. But your buying a new set every year.Or at best regrooving . And also natural colored wheels don't cost extra..I only buy natural or black colored wheels. As my local rink uses bleach on the floor and it discolors colored wheels to a muddy brown color.

Like I said, depends on the skater. If you are not hard on wheels, I see no logical reason to buy high dollar wheels other than fashion or following the crowd. Ive skated Scott's long ago, nothing wrong with them, they worked just fine. The wheels that I wore out in a few sessions were before Scott's were widely available. The Monzas were a gift that didn't hold up very well. Btw, Last time I texted Scott, yes, no pigment wheels cost more, about $30 to $40 more on custom wheel sets. No bleach here, wheels stay mostly white. I want to run the hardest wheels that will grip the floor, pigment is a contaminant that takes away grip. |

Zeus can't go bigger than 72mm wheels. No point.
Just get new boens if you want light nts plates with clips. They don't take big wheels either, but they have been good for decades under "boiani star" name, so we know they works and you can have steel, titanium or 7075 kingpins for less money. |

Besides maybe Ferocious' setup, I don't think any other plate besides mine can run a 78mm wheel properly. And at this stage I am only doing 148mm, 158mm and 168mm axel spreads.

I have 73mm that fit nice and my centers are 200mm, nice and comfy. Can easily handle bigger wheels.

Most Roll Line plates and Avangers fit big wheels up to 80mm at least (probably 85)
