Default Just moved to Cincinnati, Ohio

Hi,
I just moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and am looking to get back to speed skating after an 8 year break!
Does any one know of any clubs in the area that I could join?
Cheers,
Aaron

Hi Mort,
Thanks for the info - did you mean 9am to 1 pm?

No, he has the times correct. Living in Indianapolis area and Midwest all my life those are the times that I would have expected. Usually Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday nights at that time is normal for adult skates.

You may call rinks close to you and inquire if they have (unadvertised Senior or Adult skates-uncommon but possible) during the day or if they have a skating club that has daytime hours.

Yea, the Orbit in Huber Heights(Dayton ohio) has their Sunday Adult skate at 9p till 1 am, and on occasion(once a month) a marathon skate, which extends the time to 3am.

I'll be there this weekend

Default Teams in SW Ohio

There are three teams that I’m familiar with. There’s a team at the rink in West Chester. There’s a pretty well established team at the rink in Vandalia. Lastly, I coach a brand new team at Orbit in Dayton(Huber Heights). You’re more than welcome to train with us.

We practice on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.

But, we’re a very new team; like months old. I’m a former quad racer and the few skaters we have were recruited from Derby. We’re in the process of switching to inlines and though we’re learning quickly if you have experience you might not get the competition you require for a good workout.

If theres no one to race on equal level, there are people to teach ! teaching is how you truly master a skill. I'd love to stop in on a sat morning sometime and bring some expert skaters with me who could also have fun and help newer skaters.

What time and what's the cost?
