Default Owning a skating rink.

Does anyone have experience owning a skating rink? In particular: what does the revenue, costs, profit look like?

I'm in transition with my career and considering purchasing a rink.

Talking

Following. This is something I would love to do in retirement if feasible. I have an education and a little background in small business operations that I am dying to put to use.

From talking to the owner of my local rink and a little bit with Fred Benjamin, the money comes in putting people on the floor and not so much the other sources of revenue to keep the lights on and water running. I have read a few threads lately as being the driving force behind rinks opening up sessions to hover-boarders and what not. It was like when inline skates entered the market and the resistance that I personally experienced as a kid.

Great topic and I look forward to everyone's responses and discussion topics.

You really should talk to Paul. I dont think he would have a problem with any of your questions.
