Moderation in all things.

So let's invest in prisons and fill them, the VP is.

And let's teach "ignorance". religion instead of science, That's a good idea, and let's privitize public schools, Devos is.

And let's eliminate the EPA, smog, burning rivers, Flint Michigan, great.

Or, we could socially eliminate the problems that make people want to obfuscate.
I like the Moderation in all things approach, I think this is what most rinks end up doing. If it's not a significant problem, don't make it one.

As for all the other stuff, you would get no argument from me. I'm not sure how to fix the root problems, but they do indeed need fixed and at the root.

Interesting topic. As a former user and drinker, I did go to the rink inebriated on more than a few occasions. In hindsight, with 20+ years clean and sober behind me, I now see that it was very irresponsible. I worked at the rink as a teen and saw a man fall on a little girl, resulting in severe brain trauma and permanent mental disability. He was successfully sued by the girl's parents because he was high at the time. And he was also arrested immediately for reckless conduct, public intoxication and (I think) child endangerment.

Wow, that's quite a story. I wish it was not so, but most of us did really dangerous stupid things when we were young. Glad you were able to escape to a better life!

One for the straight dudes and 1 for the stoned and drunk lot ,so if they hurt each other its done at their own risk. Get the stoned/pissed ones to sign a waiver at the door.just kidding

Personally I like being sharp on skates.

I did have a great time at an adult night in Austin where it was BYOB. Whiskey and tequila on the tables! Loud music! Full speed limbo! I had a blast!

Cool. I'll be doing my skating in Austin in a few months. Was it the rink north of town or south of town?

The event I described was a Wed night at Austin Roller Rink.

Playland is a much nicer facility with a nice wood floor. They have a Tue adult night that is wonderful.

While not as cool as it used to be Austin is still head and shoulders above many other places. Especially for skating!
