Vintage 70's Riedells: What are these plates and wheels?

Hi, Doc!

I just acquired these vintage 70's Riedells with Oro Jet plates and some kind of old school slim wheels w/red hubs. Figured they would make a great 2nd pair or outdoor boot for my fiance.

I am waiting on these to arrive in the mail but full blown curiosity and SEDS have been contracted. I would love to know a little bit about the plates besides them being single action and what kind of wheels these might be

The wheels are Variflex outdoor wheels. Not sure of the plate.

Could they possibly be these Vanguard Boomerangs? The hub color is different but same pattern.

I tried out my new Sure-Grip Motions today, and so far I'm not very impressed. They're so grippy or even sticky that at the beginning it was hard to do T-stops, and they make squeaky sounds on very smooth surfaces. They felt slower than the Kryptonics Trues and provided less cushioning on uneven ground.
As these wheels are highly recommended on the French forum, I hope that they will improve with use.

Boots Riedell model 65 IFOs. Wheels have the wrong hubs for Boomerangs... Plates?? Never seen those.. or the wheels for that matter..

I bid on those the first time they popped up on the bay just for the wheels only. Finally got some, although not that color combo. And yes, very fast wheel.

I just got the boots today!
Stops and cushions are dry rotted but that is to be expected.

Wheels are Veriflex! I have been really needing a good outdoor wheel so this is very good news. I wonder if they would work well on smooth concrete?

I popped the bearings out and have made some interesting discoveries.
All bearings are dirty and will need a deep cleaning.
I have been reading Doc's sticky on bearing cleaning. Have never had to clean this much grime out as I never let mine get this dirty.

All have their shields and are 8mm

8 NMBs 608Z
1 NMB Veriflex 608z
2 that say Germany 3 GMN 608
2 NTN 608Z
2 Hoover NSK 608
1 no marking or label

I think 608 is referring to them being 8mm but wanted to specifically describe the labeling on each.

Getting ready to do some research on the bearings but anyone should feel free to jump on and flex knowledge
