I'm getting back into skating and have been using my outdoor wheels to skate indoors. Skating on the outdoor wheels have been very painful on my knees. I don't know how to jam/rex skate and the trick footwork they do YET but I do have rhythm and I dance on my skates. I need a wheel that will be lightweight and preferably smaller so that I can start learning the steps they do. I see them skating on smaller wheels which I assume is for more easy maneuvering?
![]() I've been looking at the Radar mini wheels but maybe someone can recommend which wheels would be better for my needs. Right now I like that I have the grip to dance as much as I want but the downside is my knees are hurting badly afterwards. ![]() I wish there were places ppl could try out wheels before purchasing them ![]() I've already purchased some indoor wheels but I don't like them ![]() They feel shaky when I do my dances ![]() They are Rollerbones Team Logo 98A Recreational Roller Skate Wheels (Set of 8), Blue, 57mm ![]() Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond!!! ![]() |

I skate on Roll-Line Formula wheels and do some dance. They are somewhat soft (88A) but you can get the Forester model which are the same dimensions but a little harder (90A). I like my wheels pretty much.
The wheels have a hard plastic hub with the softer urethane tyre which makes them roll better but still have grip. |

Thank you for responding!!
![]() I'm going to look those wheels up! Will the wheels allow me to do those dance moves That the jam/ Rex skaters do? They look like they are just gliding so smoothly it Looks fun and I want to be able to do that and incorporate my dance moves at the same time ![]() |

Yes. Those are the ones. And that's the same place I bought mine from.
And, yes, they are not cheap. |

I'd need to save up for those.
![]() What do you think about the wheels that are from wood? Sure grip makes them. They are tiny wheels. They're always doing quick moves with the tiny wheels. Do you know of tiny wheels that have grip? I'm curious how many times a week do these skaters skate? I go maybe once every month to 2 months. ![]() |

Now some older skaters have gotten used to the old wheels that are quite hard.
And some skaters do skate on outdoor wheels that allow them to do great stuff on the floor. It might be you have to go up a notch or two in hardness for your outdoor wheels to get grip yet slip.. And you might need Art Boots if you are skating on the flat racing boots. Check what boots they are wearing. Here is Skating Lisa on Outdoor wheels. As you can see she can skate for hours. And I know several like her personally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtKe...layer_embedded Hope I helped yet do not know how they are skating and to what songs. Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

Thank you for your reply. So ppl can skate with outdoor wheels indoors? The floor I skate indoor on is wood. My boots are the Moxi high top boot with the gummy 78a outdoor wheels. Like these....
https://www.amazon.com/Moxi-Roller-S.../dp/B00656D6V8 That's a good video of the lady skating. I don't do those moves with my feet but I do have rhythm and I dance on my skates. I wish I could move my feet like that but I'm scared my left foot wheels will collide with my right and I'll fall down ![]() Which hardness wheels can still allow me to dance and learn those foot moves? I'm avoiding my rollerbones 98a wheels because its shaky when I dance on them. And my moxi wheels 78a hardness allow me to dance freely but leave my knees in pain afterwards ![]() Thank you!! ![]() |

Hey Mimica,
I know this is a relatively old thread, but if you are still wondering about wheels, this might help. There is a description of wheels for different types of skating. I'm guessing that the jam skate style of wheel would be the type you would be looking for. Hope this helps. http://www.skatesemporium.com/10-tip...-skate-wheels/ |
