Lol .because they think our turny setups are wrong
those folks that skate bricks are pretty stubborn and we know if they gave it 5 or more sessions theyd be hooked.
Uno what ! Why have trucks that ad weight if the skate is locked solid?

At skate last night a young man had new skates with fixed axles. Poor kid was trying to do what I was doing and having a very difficult time. The skates had built in lights but no action!

I didn't have the heart to tell his dad what the problem was. If they keep coming back I'll have to figure out a way to break it gently...

Common wisdom is anything but...

Default i completely understand your reservation on that

Have put my foot in it and tried to break it gently b4 also.
one time {not at bandcamp} 2x 18-20yo ladies turned up with black crazy art skates {celeb plates}with rock solid cushions.I loosened of the trucks a bit with minor improvement but they kind of gave me the vibe that they just spent money on new skates and kinda didnt wanna do much about it.I probably seemed like a big skate quip nerd when i tried to explain softer suspension.
The hard part to take was they could actually skate alright with bad suspension.
I figure something made them give up cos i havent seen them in almost a year.
I think a lot of people almost get there, but become disheartened when they spend on the wrong equipment.
