Perhaps. 3000k is a long way to travel. Sounds like a great time though.

Melbourne is undoubtedly Australia's skate capital. Despite hard times for rinks in the past we still have 11 commercially operated rinks open for business in the greater Melbourne area - many of which are currently/about to/recently being refurbished. Lucky us!

Yeah but it's common knowledge that you can walk to NZ from Aus when the tide is low

Lavo wouldn't fit Big Nick, me and the kid in for a decent skate let alone an interstate convoy!

Have a great weekend everyone... I'll be away at Camp Quality up here in sunny Queensland... Maybe I'll make another skate gathering sometime.

I like Lavo, it's got a friendly vibe and good grip which makes up for the smaller size Def a bit bigger than a derby track alone

Caught up with the Sydney crew last night and a couple of folks from Perth it was good to see some familiar faces and also met some new ones to, we had a great 5 hour session at Eltham and after that some of us met up at the Museum around 10pm for a night street skate.
11 skaters on quads and 2 on inlines we snaked our way through Melbournes CBD, what a buzz that was, wherever we went heads were turning all over the place and all of us skating through Bourke st mall after midnight was priceless. I'm so glad we did this street skate it was a real nice way to wind up the night.
See you all at Carra tonight

That's Steve,
He is the most natural skater I have ever seen. He cruises with such style. Super good skater. Like he was born with skates on.

Steve is a top bloke, heaps of fun to skate with. We swapped skates at that sunshine session, his skates are ridiculous! The trucks feel like they are held on with rubber bands, but after a few laps I really started to have fun on them.
It was just a great day and night of skating.

Steveo's utterly fearless -- I saw him jump into a backwards speed skate with a recently fractured collarbone, still in a sling, a few years back. Such a good bloke.

Lots of other familiar -- and happy -- faces in there.
