Default Thanks maybe I will come

First a question.

Do you know if the Rink Owner will be there.

I understand he is a bit paranoid at people skating backwards, and doing anything funny.

I might still come, yet it is just a question. And I am glad I saw your post since Hudson is close and I have wanted to have a reason to skate it.

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

Default How about Roll On America on Police Night

Hi

Just a thought. Years ago and maybe still Fun America at Roll On used to give discounts for Police and Firemen (yes women too in those occupations). They also do it for Scouting and other things.

Have you ever thought about calling Jamie, the manager, and asking her if you can piggy back your idea with one of their (current or older) ideas to bring in skaters and their families.

Anyway just a thought for you to consider.

Hi! The rink rules are pretty lax at the roller kingdom in Hudson. The only thing I've seen them yell at people for is skating recklessly fast. They have races, speed skating, and a backwards skate almost every public session. The only annoyance was last week when it was packed they started to alternate mother/son and father/daughter... I was there with my son...i don't have a daughter lol after a couple people complained they fixed it...

And that is on a public session. I am renting the rink out for 5 hour on a Saturday night...we are going to do what we want!

If you want control of the helm for a bit send me a PM and we can set something up. I am trying to make this event fun for everyone...not just a dog event

I haven't, I've never been there. I intend to take this model and host more skate nights around NE so I will be interested in other rinks.

One thing that was a draw here is the ability to have private parties on a Saturday night. ALso, they give back 10% of their gross for the night after they rent 60 skates. There is the potential to raise some decent $$....we will see. This is my first attempt at running anything like this...

Default You are not going to get ALL Saturday Night

Hi Thanks for the Notes,

Now what I wrote about Hudson was told to me by two former regulars including a skate guard. One, a forever Hudson skater stopped going to Hudson even though it was down the street from his house..

Saturday is a big night at Roll On, I don't think they would let you take a big cut of all the proceeds. Now On another night maybe, yet I do not know.

So since Hudson gives you what you want you might try His Other RInk up in Tyngsboro, MA and then move onto Roll On.

I do not believe you will get Skateland to participate. The others I have skated I just do not know. I mean you could try that little little rink in Worcester.

Default UpDate from Saturday at Roll On America

Hi

Saturday night I skated with two young men (20s) who used to be Roll On regulars. Due to them being stopped from doing funny stuff and skating Backwards they have been going to Hudson and Tyngsboro.

If you skate the night you say you do, the one young man (In Lines) likes to bend over with his back to the floor and sometimes puts his hands under his head to make it look cool. Really an ODD move. They both can do the modified grape vine and love playing in the middle. Anyway being so unusual you should recognize them.

ON TO My Point.

I asked if they knew about your Dog Day on 13May as we entered the rink.
NaDah So you have go to get some posters up at Hudson. at minimum.

On the Video Screen, Roll On advertised using Thursday for your Donation project if you have something that can raise money

Anyway two tid bits.
