OK I love the music to skate to on this one.

I always liked the music on this song to skate. It has some cool sounds.

I remembered this one better than what I can find on youtube. Thank goodness I skate to songs for a long time till I find their videos. I would probably hate many songs if I knew their message or videos. Oh Well

Hi,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewA65Rf9D9o
Above is the video I watched. Sometimes things change so I posted it.

Has a Nice Steady Beat, and Word Phrase structure with fast talking. Which means you can skate consistently to it and let it rap into you. A good Black friend of ours in the Boston area, now dead to a brain tumor, used to love this style since he could do the consistent thing.

Another part of the song has a familiar music score I have heard other places, that adds value. Of course maybe I have skated to it, liked it and do not remember. This happens.

Anyway I like it, and I think the adults at Skateland would skate well to it, on the speed/chain skate line and with the one gal who loves her funny(move your body) skate stuff closer to the inner circle.

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

Here's a couple I like on the R&B tip. It's funny, I was never really feelin' the slow jamz before skating, but now it's my favorite tempo for getting down. I prefer it to the "freestyle" vibe or "disco" vibe.

Next - Too Close

112 - Only You

Here's something on the more esoteric tip. Never heard it anywhere remotely close to a rink, but imagining this tune w/ the lights low and full neon effects definitely puts a smile on my face.

Way lesser known jam by the dude who wrote the Miami Vice theme.

Certainly seems skate able and able to be skated differently, slow, a bit of rap, and yes can even be chain skated. Might even be double trappable..

Default Slow Walk

Is anyone out there doing Slow Walk - DJ Brown now? We've only had it about a month at Dreamland (yes it took that long to get here) but it's a new classic skate song. About 6 of us do the walk near the inner circle. On the first night the DJ was so moved he came out on the floor and filmed it, then acknowledged us for keeping it up for the whole 4 minutes, (ONE LAP!).

One of our regulars said that in Atlanta, where he goes sometimes, the entire crowd does it, and if you don't you wait until they are done.

Default Seen one, Not the other one.

Hi

Several years ago like 5 or 6 we had a song that a few would go in the middle and skate. I never could get all the moves and I think my wheels were too hard. Maybe we were slow skating, and maybe not. Can not for the life of me remember the song yet I can still do the steps. Wait Wait the ELectric Slide. First on Skates and then Off Skates

Here is another video

I guess I would never do that one, UNless a gang was doing it.
Like that gang in the above video.

Default Candy

That's Candy by Cameo.

Cameo should always be in the mix on old school night.
