Default Tongue Length

Ok, peeps, don't complain about no new threads! Here's one that I've been wondering about:

I've seen some tongues on skating boots that are pretty long and some that are short. What do you prefer?

I feel more support leaning forward with a long tongue!

Any other tongue characteristics you want to discuss, go for it!!

Default Big Nerve- don't know its name

There is a big nerve in the front of the ankle that if irritated by tight lace pressure will cause you intense pain and maybe nerve damage.
Therefore, I think a long thick tongue is preferable.

In my case, when I lace up I finish by relacing one hole down so the resulting knot is way below the nerve in question.
Works for me.

Is not a nerve, it's the anterior tibial tendon. But yes, I'm on the same boat as you regarding the long tongue for protection.
