Default Aggressive Forum Sticky Posts

Which threads in the SkateLog Aggressive Skating Forum would you recommend to be included in a list of the most interesting, most useful, most significant, or most popular discussions in that forum? Here are the posts people have asked me to make sticky in the past:

Can you think of any other forum posts of the past that should be added to the above list of sticky posts? Just FYI, I'm not asking you to vote on which of those threads is the most important, only to let me know if you think any other posts should be added to our sticky list.

- K

Thumbs up I choose

I would choose,
posting pictures of yourself skating. (we all love skating and I am sure we want to see pics of other skaters)

How to build a rail. (maybe a funbox)

Finding a skatepark near you.. (also maybe even good street spots)

As far as I can tell, this site is for roller skating and inline......not ice skating. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Speed Skating Forum

Most of the discussions in this forum will be about inline speed skating but discussions about ice speed skating and quad roller speed skating are also welcome.

Do you mean "black ice"? Then, yes. By all means!

Default Aggressive rink measurement.

Hi, everyone, I'm new here. I'm interested to know if there are any specific measurements for an aggressive skating rink.
Thanks.

There is no such thing as an "aggressive skating rink". Just skate parks; and they don't have any specific measurements- just need good "flow".

If you're talking about roller derby, I don't believe you're quite in the right place. As I understood, this subforum was for aggressive skating as in tricks and flips- not aggressive behavior in a roller rink(roller derby).

In the latter case, there are state-wide and nation-wide regulations. However, I do not know them but you can probably google "roller derby competition rink regulations" or something...

I wish someone would dream up a skatepark rink. Imagine if you will:

A huge circular track, (think horse racing track) with the infield filled with a huge concrete bowl/street section. I'm thinking multiple levels, and maybe some item to shred on the circular track too. You could skate around the park on the nice outside ring, with many different entrances to the interior part. Airconditioning and Heating, sound system and lights, DJ it like a skating rink, put guards out to help with the flow, and charge admission like a boss.

Helmets required, over 10 years old and up. No little bitty kids, and no slow-mo kill yo flow fools either. Must demonstrate competency and sign a waiver.

Yes, yes you will. I'm afraid it would be mandatory!
