If you want traction use multiple platforms natively.
Facebook is the AOL of the early 21st century, only not as cute. Putting a FB link here assures that I won't see it or care about it. As a matter of fact I already have a negative opinion... .

Roller bones lost me when they decided to forget about wide speed wheels and only produce "derby" wheels several years ago.

they lost me when they decided to make wheels that couldn’t be rotated left side of skate to right side of skate.

you can rotate right to left. It's purely aesthetic, even if you derogate the fins will all match spinning the same way.

A link to your site would work, facebook isn’t really relevant here, I love the fact that a major industry manufacturer is just a pm away, happy new year.

Because of the designer wheels I expect some formulas to change for longer wear soon. The production companies are beginning to lose customers over this but there is still stock to be had for now. Also the production companies are capable of producing wheels along the same lines of designer wheels characteristics. I like a zero pigment wheel but it costs me more to get that unless I buy Shamans.

Just buy scotties.
Its not logical to keep buying wheels that wear that fast. The old shaman formula was ok.But this new one just doesnt last.

Ordering Scotts my way is not feasible. Way too many projects eating right now. The tread would have to last at least 4 to 5 years for me to recover the costs. I like them, just cannot go that route.

I had used some Scotts before, they held up well. I just never heard of how long the tread did last.

Ok, back to reality.
Rollerbones wheels made in the USA come in all durometers, and different hub types, the fact that rollerbones takes the time to answer questions here, and the fact that they make the best bearings you can buy, and the fact that the bearings have replacement parts is contrary to.... Scotty's wheels which seem to require mini bearings, what's up with that, no ceramic available, is the urethane legal in California? Can you buy them anywhere? So here we have a rollerbones thread hijacked by rudeness, no parts availability, and custom sized bearings, btw, not made in America, remember when they were illegal to be imported into America? Back to the rollerbones thread.... |

Bones/Rollerbones does not "make their own" bearings, let alone the "best".
The only thing Scott makes that requires micro bearings are the assassin line, which is BONT. Though he does offer a wide version for those people looking for a full sized speed wheel while utilizing the lightness of the bont hub design. Bones sources their bearings from china... and claims "skate rated" as a marketing tool, which means jack sh!t. True abec1 ratings actually mean something at least.... They need replacement parts for their bearings because 1 out of every 8 bones reds (3 sets I personally went through) and other bearing cages are malformed or broken. Which during high speed forwards to backwards or backwards to forwards transitioning can make the cages come off the balls and the bearings come apart. Also, if you are interested in ceramic micros they can be made. Just contact the right people. ![]() If you're all for the USA made crap, find a USA made bearing manufacturer ![]()

Actually if I had entered a bont thread and described the overall bad fit, the fact that everyone that wears them HAS to use "easy fits" to keep their heels tight, still wouldn't be trolling, it would be pointing out the facts, but this is a thread by and about Bones products, and it's getting trolled, so what's the problem? Rollerbones wheels are legally made and sold in the United States, they meet all price points, they are easy to acquire and the company is friendly, so why troll the thread. Can Scottie's wheels legally be sold in California? I see more and more products containing harmful chemicals being forbidden from the state. I admit, I'm not a fan of mini bearings, to loud and to rusty, pity that this conversation is happening in a rollerbones thread...... |

I was only pointing out the Facts as well.
Hundreds of people on this forum have said how good and how long wearing they are. I have never bagged bones and never will. They make great products. I've had no issue with mini bearings at all. I know several people with perfect fitting bonts. I have 20 sets of scotts only 2 that take mini bearing Ohh and a home made deano. The issue with buying scotts in the past was an insurance/legal thing. Not any more.
