Default Socks yes, Socks no?

Just curious who here rolls with socks on or not.
Personally I have never worn socks, be it quads or ice skates.
I just like the feel, for me on ice skates I can set the edges better, on quads they just feel more sensitive.

What say ye?

Oh, and my skates have never stunk!
I always open them up, pull the insoles and let them dry thoroughly.

A qualified skate with socks. If I have very thin sock, then I skate with socks. If I have cotton crew socks, can't. The Bonts fit too well. No socks on the Quad Racer works great. I do get a funky little suction thing on the bottom of the boot as my feet are flat though. But other than that, no socks works fine.

Entire family skates and uses socks. Dual layer Wrightsocks perform best for us.

Socks. Acrylic or worsted wool. Normally 2 pairs on each foot as I have low volume feet. I love the padding that a nice double pair of synthetic or wool socks offer. And my feet do not get hot even in summer.

FYI...I never go without socks and never wear sandals for any activity. 365 days a year, work, play, casual, hot or cold, it's synthetic or wool socks between my feet and footwear.

Since I stopped wearing cotton socks in the 1980s I have never had a blister, athletes foot, or smelly feet/shoes.

I was wondering about that. The lining in the Solaris looks like my 220s and my work boots. And i sweat a lot in those.

Recently began roller/quad skating with these socks. Sounds weird, because they have wool, but turns out it's my new absolute favorite (for my quads only).

So I thought, oh yeah, these would be even better for ice skating, and my foot TOTALLY FROZE!!!! I've never had a worse sock for ice/figure skating.

For my inline skates I prefer a really thin Adidas soccer sock, but have to cut them because they are too tall.

What about ice skating? Which socks do you prefer? Thanks.
