Default Inline skating - single foot strokes

I was just curious what others thought about using single repeated strokes/pushes as part of their inline skating.

I got in a good bit of practice doing these at the skating rink using inline skates with my custom short wheelbase setup with 3x58(?) flat profile 88A wheels.

I noticed I could attain a very high rate of continuous speed without much fatigue since I was only pushing off with one leg.

Of course I realized that my leg I used to keep flat on the floor (left) would start to get a bit sore over time, so I then started switching it up some with the left leg then doing the push offs.

I've seen many inline skaters do a similar single footed kick/push in repetitions during outdoor skating sessions on YouTube but I don't know if it is as common indoors or during marathons etc.

What do some of you think about it who have seen or performed it regularly?
