Default Detroit Skate Company

Do any of you out there know the story of the original Detroit Skate Co?

I believe I've ascertained that it was a sporting goods store in Royal Oak, MI - and I'd love to know the full story.

Thanks!
Sarah

What year(s) was it there? I was in RO 1999 - 2003 and don't recall it, but so many businesses cycled through the downtown area it was hard to keep track. I still know folks in RO so if you can get me a date window I'll ask around.

Just saw your interview from October. Great to see a company setting up shop in Metro Detroit. You going into Detroit proper or suburbs?

We will be located in Detroit proper.

Thanks for offering to dig around. I was actually able to sort this out.
The Detroit Skate Co (to the best of my knowledge) was indeed a hobby store in Royal Oak.
Currently the trade mark and URL for the Detroit Skate Co are held by the Detroit Surf Company.
