*** The SkateLog Forum Has Been Replaced by SkateDebate Dot Com ***

This announcement is to let everyone know that after hosting the SkateLog Forum and its predecessors for nearly 20 years, I have decided it is time to permanently turn the forum over to a new owner and administrator. I cannot think of anyone more suitable to take on that role than my SkateLog forum co-host, Florida skater Jessica Wright. I am pleased to announce that Jessica has agreed to establish and host a brand new skating forum, configured like the SkateLog Forum, but with a new name and a new Web Site. This new forum is 100% owned and operated by Jessica.

Default Triple 8 RD Wristguards sizing question

Hi all,

Just starting to work on my skills, using the minimum skills as a guide, hoping to try out one day but I think it's nearer next summer until the more established league near me has a tryout and I'm not sure when for the other league that started earlier this year. I'm looking at getting gear and I think I want the Triple 8 RD Wristsavers, but I'm not sure what size to get. The circumstance of my hand is somewhere between 8 and 8.5", so from the sizing, I should go with the medium. I've read they run tight, but I assume the large would be way too big. I have a pretty square palm, but more narrow wrists (only about a 6.5"). Anyone have this Triple 8 and have a rec which way to go on size? Or have other recs for a good starter guard?

Probably a bit late to help you but I'd go with the size Medium. It only seems to be the size small Triple8 RD wrists that are super small! They're good wrist guards, I like these and hired hands although they are hotter/bulkier.

Default Tried 888 - prefer 187

The 888s are difficult to put on and take off. So you will put them on and not take them off until you have to(and they make you sweat more). But is is nice to remove them and allow your wrists to breathe and dry the sweat.

The 187 Killer pads wrist guard are easy to put on and just as easily removed. Both are effective to protect the wrist. But I like the easy on and easy off.

Keep rollin
