I'm buying my first pair of skates in about 30 years. Wanting to keep $200 or less. I've looked at quite a few Beach Bunnies, Candi Girls, Sure Grips, Impalas. The Beach Bunnies feel the sturdiest. The boot isn't comfortable, though. I wear an 8 in womens, so according to website ordered 7 in the skates. My toes are at the end and because the boot is stiff, they don't feel very comfortable. Is this normal or should I get an 8? I don't want to wait for another order to come in the mail as we don't have many nice days left outside.

Beach Bunnies are by Moxi, right? Moxi's are a subset of Riedell, right? That is actually an okay brand, from what I hear. All they ladies I know on Moxi's absolutely love them. But yeah, if they are too small, trade em in for a size 8. Good luck.

If boots fit but are just stiff, that might be normal.
I've heard the Moxi's take about a month to break in skating two sessions (4 hours) per week. |

Hello all,
I went back and forth with a Riedell distributor and Riedell themselves and it was decided that as I have wide feet the size 11 1/2 would be good. Well they arrived and I think they are too long. What do you think? Can't figure out how to upload pics ![]() |

![]() But how do they feel width wise? I find many skates are quite narrow fitting so sometimes the only way to get a comfortable width fit if to go for longer skates. You might feel a little like you're wearing clown feet for a short while but you should soon get used to them. I've got a full size up for my outdoor skates due to wide feet and never noticed any problem with them (Ridell 111 boot). |
