Question Rinks in Virginia or Minneapolis

Anyone have suggestions for rinks in Northern Virginia (my mom lives there) or Minneapolis (Have to go there several times a year for work). I have looked online, but can never tell if those listings are up-to-date. I'd love to pack my skates and hit the rink while I am in both places!

Hi Robin,
The best way to find a rink, imho, is mapquest.com. In my area they are more up to date then google. Type in a city and then type in look for rinks
The RSA rink directory only shows RSA member rinks and many nice rinks are missing from it's page.

hth,
Bill

Going from memory when I lived in Northern Va....there was a rink in Stafford County. I used to drive by it from time to time and it had a giant quad skate outside.
It was off of I95 (forgot the exit but somewhere around exit 15 I think) and you would have to pass Curtis Park. It was a good ten miles from I95 (this is from memory)

Thinking about it, I wish I had started quadding then. That rink seemed quite lonely where it was but it must have been busy as they used to have signs up of what sort of roller music and dance was going on.

Good luck.

Hi Robin
I found a web site that might help you out. It's roller-skating.com. You can search for rinks by the state. I dont know if each state has a listing. Some that are in Minnesota do have web sites and hours. I hope this helps.

Default MPLS

Hi
The best rink in MPLS is the Roller Gardens in St. Louis Park.
Probably one of the best in the country, and I've skated in them from
Dallas to Newark, and Chcigao to Denver.
They have Adult skating Sunday morning and Tues. Thurs. and Fri.
Nights from 8:30 to 11pm.
Use Mapquest and go for it.
But, tell the DJ to turn the volume down!

Try this link, they're usually accurate. The best thing to do is find a rink on the finder, then call.

Another great rink is north of MPLS one hour called thunderblades, their website is thunderblades.com. I skate there all the time, awesome sound system and lights, clean, Saturday night is great for adults.

Hi Robin

There is a rink called Skate and Fun Zone in Manassas, Va. It's about 20 miles east of D.C. Adult night there is Wed at 7:30.

Default Roller Dome

You can try the Roller Dome in downtwon MPLS.
Not great for Quads Because of floor seams, great for inlines,
but have have skated there with outdoor wheels.
