Equipment for slalom: Twister 2 Pro (need to get a new pair, any sugestions?)
Favourite slalom trick: They all look fun!
Events?: Uh no... just beginning again, stoped in dec 2007. Only 6 months doin Slalom.
How long skating & slaloming: Skated as a kid, then started up again after buying my daughter some skates in 2007....
Other info: Want to start again, been a few years.. Just need some suggestion on what skates to buy, was looking at Sebas High, but might be a little pricey for me right now. What is the preferred frame size now, back in 2007 it was 231 now I see it might be 243? Thanks for any advice you may have

Name: Boris Burger
Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

Favourite slalom trick: Mexican. When I sometimes forget myself I'm just doing one mexican after another, recently I have decided to only allow myself one per the entire cone line :-)
Events: Battle Oz 2010 and local slovak events. Going to Battle Warsaw 2011 in 2 weeks from now!
How long skating & slaloming: 7 years skating, 3rd year slaloming.
Other info: Our skating scene is small but slowly on the rise, hopefully things will improve this summer with new people picking up the sport!

Not a slalom skater (aggressive inline), but am working to incorporate slalom styling into my ramp riding. I also favor precision over brawn.

Name: Frank
Location: USA, Idaho
Boots: Razors (4 wheels total, not 8, so no rocker setup possible)
Years Skating: Since I was 15, stopped for a few years, then got back into and went aggro. Never had so much fun on skates in my life.

Hey Demolishun,

You ought give Skate Cross a try. It would be a good fit for both the aggro and freestyle slalom skating communities:

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you live near "Denni", an excellent slalomer and SkateFreestyle team member from Amherst. If you are interested in practicing with someone, you might want to try to PM him.

That's who hooked me on the slalom to begin with. I saw him doing cones at the rink I go to every Wed night and for the 1st time I was impressed by someone on in-lines (most in-liners just go real fast in a big circle). He is really good and a nice guy also. Now we hang at other rinks together and I got cones and am trying to get some moves down

Default Intro =)

Name: Bazil Zainal

Location: Currently studying in Singapore, but originally from Malaysia.

Equipment for slalom: None yet, but hoping to get some Seba FR1s or Highs soon! =)

Favourite slalom trick: Don't know enough to have a fav yet.. =/

Events?: None yet, maybe in the next couple of years as I (hopefully) improve.

How long skating & slaloming: Been ice skating for fun a couple years back, then as soon as I started my higher education here in Singapore, I got hooked into inline skating, especially slaloming. Huge community here in Singapore (compared to Malaysia), and just started inline skating with the clubs here. So basically, maybe around 2 months of skating experience (minus ice skating).

Other info: Very keen learner, hoping to join some local events soon, but mainly skating for fitness, overall balance and most importantly, FUN! =D

Do you come to melbourne museum often?

There's always a group of slalomers there on sundays, at Melb mus. if the weather is good!
