Heck yeah,
Ground control is coming out with a similar product simply called "Big" Identical size frames with 72mm capacity.

whats the point of the 2 extra bolts where mounting bolts are?
do you actually feel speed increase. I tried upsizing wheels and got nothing, this was with new bearings and wheels aswell. unsure of my max wheel size but i can only have 4 large ones at once. gonna try 76 and keep upsizing til i max out. less roll resistance but lost acceleration. |

Crappy wheels though, even if bigger will be slower. Example here from own experiences. A 72mm 82A hockey wheel was much faster than the 80mm wheels of a pair of mongoose skates.

The two extra bolts are for stability. They help hold the frame together (2 piece)
Definitely felt a huge speed increase. I went from 57mm to these 72mm. Huge top end gain without a lot of sacrifice on low end. A lot smoother roll/ride too.

As a rule (you can read a lot of posts on this in the inline speed section) Bigger wheels= Take more effort to get going from a standstill BUT once up to speed will go faster with less effort to maintain speed (w/proper technique) but you generally sacrifice some stability due to the fact your feet are higher off the ground. Wheel profile will also have a lot to do with this...... flatter wheels = more stable less speed- narrower edged wheels = less stability more speed.. Smaller wheels will require less effort to get going but will require more effort to keep the speed up. If you're not used to them or generally have a low speed style of skating (a LOT of agro in liners do) You probably wont see much speed improvement. There is a sweet spot for everyone but it will differ greatly depending on how each individual skates. Also Durometer plays into it a lot. Softer wheels will give you more grip and rebound but wont have the speed higher duro wheels will.

These are 88a duro x 72mm. I'm running some Red bones 9's in them. I love them. It's all I roll now.

Those undercover wheels look amazing.
A good amount of urethane is appreciated. 33mm>60mm cores. |

The core/hubs matter as well, but the thickness of the urethane(unless its super thin) wont be much of a impact as long as the other 2 previously mentioned attributes are good. Though a thicker urethane and smaller core/hub often means more lifespan, its not always true.

are not ABEC rated, they are skate rated so you may have some counterfeit bearings. We know there are a ton of knock offs out there.

Unless you can say that you have a minimum tolerance in specific areas of the bearings manufacturing processes, or specific criteria that must be met. Its all just trade jargon. Examples would be clearances, surface finishes, run out, etc. Not trying to bust your balls, but I hate the "skate rated" saying as there is nothing it does for skating/skaters. There's no data to it just a label.

I've read that so many times before... Jargon. Simply explaining, in a nutshell, the ABEC ratings and how they don't exactly mean higher numbers are better... This in no way tells you anything about what separates BONES bearings from any other bearing. You can say "skate rated" all day because skaters purchase the bearings, it kind of draws them in- hence jargon as this "skate rated" bearing has no data to it. They typically don't have the first clue about ABEC ratings. Let alone what specs are more favorable for a duty such as skating instead of a machining standpoint where higher ABEC ratings are desired for a precision fit. Let alone radial and axial clearances, which aren't covered by the ABEC scale. http://www.astbearings.com/bearing-t...on-levels.html Here is a list of tolerances for ABEC rated bearings. The inner and outer races that the balls run in are covered by it and are a prime component in the performance of a bearing. ABEC rating matters, though it DOES NOT guarantee low running torque. This is what skaters are after. To reduce said phenomenon, a certain amount of clearances are needed. "skate rated" doesn't cover this or anything for that matter. There are no "rules to play by". Everyone pretty much has to "trust" in their chosen supplier, that they aren't having mushroom management being stuffed in their face(kept in the dark and fed crap) So lets hear how "skate rated" bearing have improved tolerance/clearances/specifications to offer lower running torque. I'll try not to get into a lubrication discussion here as there's no data for your pseudo grease, aka "speed cream". Bearings cause enough of a controversy, mainly spawned by misinformation due to retailers out there.
