The USFIFS website has had some big upgrades and has been moved to a hosting site at Network Solutions. There should be much fewer speed and download problems.
We have added links for clubs, coaches, sponsors and rinks that are supportive of inline figure skating. Except for the coaches and sponsors links the other links are free for a basic listing. We will soon have a blog for USFIFS and inline figure skating issues to complement this forum. If you want to form an inline figure skating club anywhere in the world send an email to info@usfifs.org and include your email address and your location. This will be listed by country and state/province and city. USFIFS only requires 3 skaters for a provisional club and 5 for a full club. We will accept provisional clubs from other countries or will advise you on forming your own organization. All other forms are available at usfifs.org. When viewing the website you should use MS Internet Explorer 6 or 7. It was tested with the latest patches, but they might not be needed. Unfortunately there are some MS web features that aren't being picked up by other browsers like Firefox. The site was created with MS Publisher. I guess MS wants to lock you in or the other vendors haven't picked up these things ;-{
We will move to Adobe products for more universal access if this can't be resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience. Joe Kaplenk Quote:

The USFIFS website has been redone. It appears like all the viewing and speed problems are fixed. It has been tested with several browsers. Thanks to everyone for their ideas and comments. There is still a lot of content that we'd like to add and some tweaking to be done but the foundation is there.
Feel free to browse the website and send any comments to webmaster@usfifs.org. BTW, MS Publisher is great for documents but not so good for websites, however there appears to be a tool at Microsoft that can clean up the code. For the technies it appears to be .vml code that is the culprit. It also adds a lot of unnecessary formatting. I used the tool from Network Solutions this time in the interest of speed and viewing compatibility. Thanks again. Joe Kaplenk Quote:
